Shepherd is one of the two high school players that has committed to the 2010 Crimson Tide class from North Gwinnett High School in Suwanee, Ga. Shepherd is projected as an offensive guard but is solid enough to double as an offensive tackle. He weighs in at 316lbs and stands 6’5. Shepherd spent a lot of time during the winter shedding some weight and picking up some agility, losing around 20 pounds.

Shepherd seems set on playing for the Tide.

"I'm 100 percent set. I'm done with the process,” he said. “I'm 100 percent Alabama and I'm not planning on de-committing, no matter what. I'm just hard-nosed and love to hit, so I think I could fit in well there."
